Monthly News Letter
Words of Encouragement from Lion President J. K. Noel

As we look forward to many upcoming events, I find we are very fortunate to have a great team of Lion members who consistently give of their time and talent in accomplishing Club Goals plus their commitment to Lionism.  At the next meeting, we will have two students, for the months of December and January, in attendance.  It will be a real pleasure in getting to meet them and find out what makes them stand out at Cocalico High School.

Our next event will be our Club visitation to Peace United Church of Christ in Swartzville on Sunday Feb. 12th.  We will meet at 10:15 AM for the 10:30 service and will sit in reserved seats.  I'm certain that all who attend will enjoy the message and the fantastic music.  The following day, on Monday the 13th of February, we will be having our Charter Night.  The Fire Hall will be serving two meats with our meal consisting of turkey and beef at a cost of $11.00 per person.  It's important we bring our spouses to this event since some may be requested to participate in the program.  The program will help us really get to know some of our devoted members.

Be prepared to share some of your hobbies with fellow Lion members at our meeting Monday, March 13.  Since this will be on the 13th, according to Lion Glen, this will be your lucky day to show us your talents and abilities which are probably unknown to many of us.  We all look forward to this event and what we will learn.

Please note that since the District Convention will be held on April 22nd this year, we will be holding the Senor Citizens Dinner and Armchair Races on the 29th of April at the Reamstown Fire Hall.  It would be great for as many of us as possible to attend the Convention this year to vote for our Vice District Governor, Lion Bruce, to become District Governor (provided he is nominated).  The more we have at this convention, the more we will enjoy learning what Lionism, Local and International, is about.  There will be many classes of instruction to choose from but will only be able to attend a few.  So pick the courses that will be of most interest to you.

Did you know that if someone ever said to you:  " A revolving lithic conglomerate accumulates no congeries of small, green biophytic plant"  is actually saying: "A rolling stone gathers no moss",........... but you already knew that.

Yours in Lionism:
J.K. Noel
