Words of Encouragement from Lion President J. K. Noel
I would like to take the opportunity to thank Lion first vice president, Don Hartranft, for operating the last
three meetings including two in April and the first meeting in May. Many thanks for his help.
We had five members attend the meeting on April 26th which included a meal and meeting following. This
event was held at Mt. Joy and well attended by those who participated.
The Senior Dinner was held at noon on April the 29th and had a total of 101 quests attend. Lion Craig
Ebersole acted as the Master of Ceremony and after the meal, all personnel enjoyed the program set by
Lion Vernon Boose. Again, all attendees enjoyed the entire event.
Shortly after the Senior Meal, the Armchair Races were begun to be set for an early evening, around 5:30
PM. Those at the meeting seemed to enjoy the program along with winning horse as well for various prize
winners.
We had an excellent meeting on Monday, May 8th with Judge Hamel. She gave an excellent program
regarding use of the new voting machines.
Please keep in mind that the meeting on Monday, May 22nd will be started on 6:00 PM and held at the
Reamstown Park for the Meal Dinner. The "TRACK" will be there again as in previous years. Should it
rain, the meal will be held in the fire hall instead. The early meeting will be held as usual since there will be
a Golf Game to be held to play at the Reinhold’s Gold site. We will try to complete in ASAP in order to get
the trip to start Reinhold’s as soon as possible
Many thanks for the patience of all members who helped in performing many activities when I missed
many of the meetings. One thing to keep in mined....
Yours Prersident,
Lion J.K. Noel
