East Cocalico Lions Club
Monthly News Letter
Words of Encouragement from Lion President J. K. Noel

A gracious good day to all fellow Lions. We have had an exciting month and participated in various events
which seemed to have been enjoyed by all. We all had a great meal with "TRACK" which served a super
dinner on May 22nd. After the meal, we did have golf this year over at Reinhold’s but with just a little
smaller group of players than usual. Hopefully next year more players will be able to attend.

On June 10th we had our yearly Golf tournament at Chapel Hill and it was rather cool, as the wind blew
briskly all day. Every one seemed to enjoy their games as well as a great meal.

Just a quick reminder, we were fortunate to have Lion Bruce Carpenter verified to be the District Governor
at the State Convention on May 21. It was great to see him there. Keep in mind that the big event, Passing
of the Banner will be held at the Reamstown Fire Hall on August 14th. Let ALL of us try to attend so that
we can participate and honor our District Governor Lion Bruce Carpenter. The event is for members and
families.

At our last meeting, June 12th, we had a program from Sgt. Ray Burns of the East Cocalico Police. He gave
us an informative talk on the new Youth Aid Panel which was developed this year in the township and area.

Our last meeting of the year is to be held June 26, at Park Place Diner. We will be handing out some
awards that are of importance from this past year. After these are presented, the installation of officers will
take place officiated by PDG Lion Floyd Doner.

My thanks to ALL Lions of the East Cocalico Club who this past year worked tirelessly and produced the
greatest results known to man, and especially to me. My personal THANKS to all you members who have
given so much time and effort for our success. Your continued support is truly appreciated and duly noted.

Yours Prersident,
Lion J.K. Noel
