Passing of the Banner
Please this is a special event to celebrate the welcoming of the new District 14-D District Governor. For those who forgot this years District Governor is our own Lion Bruce, fine him, I mean District Governor Bruce. It is Monday August 14th at 6:30 PM it is a family event. The cost of the meal is $15.00 per person however children 10 and under half price. The attire is what you feel comfortable in, there will be some individuals in ties and some in casual dress the important part is to come and support our own District Governor Bruce. There will be some entertainment just a bit.
Club Picnic
The annual club picnic will be held Monday August 28th at 6:30 PM at the Reamstown Park. For those new lions this is a time for us to get together as a lions family group, it is a family event. Each lion should bring one hot food item and one dessert. The Hot dogs and Hamburgers are cooked for us by the outgoing Lion President. So please bring the kids and enjoy the comfort of fellow lions.
Just a Reminder
It is that time of year again; time to pay your dues. This year’s dues are $33.50 for six months and are due by September 30, 2006. Next billing will be January of 2007.
There is talk of postage stamps rising in price again, so please if you have an email address please let the secretary know so that he can save the club some cost.
Those Lions that are Chairpersons, please remember to get a tax exempt form from either the Club Secretary or Treasurer.
Let’s wish all those fellow Lions their family and friends that are not feeling well or recuperating from surgeries a speedy and safe recovery.
