Mohnton Halloween Parade
The Denver Fair Parade was canceled do to road construction, seems there would be no reviewing stand and a complete path would not be able to be utilized. We went to the Mohnton Halloween parade sponsored by the Mohnton Lions Club on Saturday October 14th. A few lions were present to compete in the parade against 6 other lions club. Fun was had by all those present; Lion Rick wants to thank all those that helped make the event a success.
Food Drive
Food Drive was held Friday and Saturday the 13th and 14th of October, Chairperson Lion Bob Weaver wants to thank all of those who participated and help raise tons of food for the Ephrata Area Social Services. The event was held at both Redner’s and Martin’s markets. There was three and a half tons of food collected as well as approximately $350.
Membership Social
A membership social will be held at the next regular meeting Monday October 23. Please bring a friend or neighbor along to make the evening a success.
Children’s Halloween Party
The Children’s Halloween Party will be held Tuesday October 31; any lions available to help Co-Chairpersons Lion Charlie Cutts and Lion George Cutts would be greatly appreciated. Don’t forget to remind your neighborhood as well as remind those of the Pumpkin Carving contest.
Corvette Raffle Tickets
Corvette tickets are still available, anyone interested in purchasing a ticket for $50.00 please contact Lion Rick Bates. Remember the drawing will be held December 31 and one lucky winner will own a 1995 RED CORVETTE, 15,000 original miles. Most important don’t forget this drawing will support SABVI
Oyster Supper
The fall Oyster Supper will be held Saturday November 4. This year’s chairperson Lion Sidni Schlegel will be asking everyone for their help to make the event another success.

December Board Meeting will be Monday December 4, 7:00PM at the home of Lion Rick Bates

Those Lions that are Chairpersons, please remember to get a tax exempt form from either the Club Secretary or Treasurer.
Let’s wish all those fellow Lions their family and friends that are not feeling well or recuperating from surgeries a speedy and safe recovery.
Any individuals interested in being a part of a committee to monitor and be the contact for injured, hospitalized lions and family members please contact the secretary, our club has talked about this type of committee for numerous years. It was assigned to be initiated for this lionistic year, please volunteer your time and effort. Thank you for helping.
