Senior Citizens Dinner

The senior citizens dinner was held Saturday April 28th at the Reamstown Fire Hall Chairperson Lion Bob Nevling would like to thank all those that helped make the event a success. A special thanks to MC Lion Craig Ebersole and to Lion Vernon Boose for his wonderful presentation.

Armchair Races

The Armchair Races were held Saturday April 28th, Chairperson Lion Bob Weaver wants to thank all those lions and their family and friends that helped make the even the most successful Armchair Races ever. Even though there was some equipment failure the event ran smoothly and was quite a success, thanks to all.

Installation Night

Installation Night will be June 25th at the Reamstown Fire Company. A head count must be taken at the next meeting June 11th at the Reamstown Park. Please ask your spouses and have a count ready, if you’re unable to make the meeting please contact Lion Rick with your count. The meal will cost $10.50 and is Family Style Roast Beef and Ham. Remember installation night will also honor special guests that have helped during our events this lionistic year.

Passing of the Banner

As we get more information we will pass it on, to date Passing of the Banner will be Tuesday August 21, 2007. It will be held at the Gathering Place in Mount Joy at 6:30 PM. It will be our clubs turn to attend and pass the banner to incoming District Governor Leonard Smith’s Mount Joy Lions Club.

First Regular Meeting in June will be held at the Reamstown Park, this will be TRACK Night. After our meeting we will head to Chip & Putt. Because there are no more meetings before the event please contact Lion Ray Wolf if you are interested in participating in the golf outing. Lion Ray’s phone number is 336-1397. THIS MEETING STARTS AT 6:00 PM

Just a Reminder

June Board Meeting will be Monday June 4, 2007 7:00 PM at the home of Lion James Moser 7 James Circle Denver, PA 17517

Those who have not paid their dues please do so at your earliest convenience. Just a reminder the second half of dues are now being issued to all, if you paid your dues and received a notice please let the secretary know so the concern can be corrected. Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated see Secretary Lion Rick Bates or mail to PO Box 166 Reamstown, PA 17567.

If you have an email address please let the secretary know so that he can save the club some cost on mailings. NOTE that postage has now risen to $.41.

Those Lions that are Chairpersons, please remember to get a tax exempt form from either the Club Secretary or Treasurer.

Don’t forget to ask your spouses or guest if they would like to go on the tour of Susquehanna Association for Blind and Vision Impaired (SABVI). The tour will be May 14th a small light dinner will be served at SABVI. There will be a head count at the next meeting.

Let’s wish all those fellow Lions their family and friends that are not feeling well or recuperating from surgeries a speedy and safe recovery. We wish a speedy recovery to Susan Hartman wife of Lion James Hartman and Lion Lion Paul Hassler after their recent illness. Also please keep in your thoughts and prayers Jan Lindauer wife of Lion Tom Lindauer and Doc Long as they recover from their illnesses. If you hear of anyone feeling ill or in the hospital, please remember to contact Lion Tom Lindauer chairperson of our Advisory Committee
