October 2014 Student Of The Month – Maegan Weinhold
Maegan Weinhold was bestowed the honor of October 2104 Student of the Month by the East Cocalico Lions Club. Maegan, who is Cocalico’s 2014 Homecoming Queen, is very involved with school activities. Some of these include the National Honor Society, Theatre Department, Student Government (Serving as Co-President) and is very active in the Music Department in both vocal and instrumental groups. Besides these school activities, she participates in Lacrosse and is the Captain of the Cross Country Team. Maegan has received many Honors and Awards being a National Vocalist, HOBY Leadership Ambassador and a delegate to the National Washington Journalism and Media Conference. Even though she is very active she believes in the Lions Clubs motto of “We Serve” by being a member of the Leo Club, volunteers at Aaron’s Acres where she works with disabled kids, plus finds time to volunteer at the Water Street Rescue Mission and Church Café. Maegan’s future plans include attending College, majoring in Communication and minoring in Political Science while continuing music as an extra-curricular.
