October 2016 Student Of The Month – Juan Bermudez
Juan Bermudez was bestowed the honor of Student of the Month by the members of the East Cocalico Lions Club. Juan, who is bilingual and had moved to the United States from Columbia is very active in school activities participating on the Cross Country and Track teams. He is also an active member of the National Honor Society and Student Government. Juan has received many Honors and Awards being selected as Student of the Month for German, Math and Chemistry. He was also honored as one of the school’s representatives to the HOBY Leadership Conference. Even though he is very active he believes in the Lions Clubs motto of “We Serve” by representing the Lions clubs of the Cocalico School Area by serving as a member of the Leo Club, a Lions club service organization within the High School. He also Volunteers by assisting his Church’s Youth Group. Juan’s future plans include attending College, majoring in Biology and then studying Neurosurgery.
