March 2018 Student Of The Month – Conlan Kerschner
Conlan Kerschner was honored as the Club’s March Student of the Month by the members of the East Cocalico Lions Club. At Cocalico, Conlan participates in Football and Track. After being introduced to the sound of the banjo by his grandfather, Colan became very proficient as a Banjo Player. He received First Place Honors in the 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 PA Farm Show’s “Got Talent” Competition. One of Conlan’s greatest honors was being selected as one of just seven kids under the age of 17 to play on the Cabin Stage at the 2015 MerleFest in North Carolina as an Acoustic Kids “Ambassador”. (MerleFest is the second largest Bluegrass Festival in the United States which attracts over 79,000 people). Conlan shares his music by volunteering with Hospice, at the Library and with Veterans Associations. His future plans include attending East Tennessee State University, with a major in Business Marketing and minor in Music.
