January 2022 Student of the Month – Andrew Hagy
Andrew Hagy, recognized and honored as the January 20221 Student of the Month. Andrew is a very busy student at Cocalico. A few of his many Activities and Clubs he participates in are National Honor Society, Student Government, Cocalico Quiz Bowl, and Cocalico Mock Trial. He is also the Founder and Chairperson of the Cocalico Philosophy Society. Music is also a large part of Andrew’s life. At Cocalico he is a Drumline Captain and plays percussion instruments in the High School Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensemble and Marching Band. He also sings Tenor in many of the Vocal Groups at Cocalico and is the Treasurer of the Tri-M Music Society. Outside of School he Volunteers at the Carson Treatment Center as a Vaccine Pamphlet Designer, Lancaster General Hospital delivering patient’s mail, flowers and transporting discharged patients to the lobby and at the Berks County Coroner’s Office as a Deputy Coroner Intern. A few of his many Honors and Achievements include being on the 4.0 Honor Roll in grades 9-12, being Recognized 5 times throughout high school by teachers for outstanding academic achievements and achieving Student of the Month awards in Science, Math, World Language, and Social Studies. His future plans include becoming a Medical Examiner/Death Investigator and/or a Forensic Pathology MD.
